This Victorian glass vase is made from two layers of cased glass, an opaque ivory over a deep pink interior. The ivory layer contains uranium & glows under UV light. It measures 20 cm tall, 9 cm across the unusual four sided crimped top rim, & 6 cm across the base, which has a polished pontil mark.
The vase has an applied handle & rigaree in clear glass, with a clear & pink leaf, & two amber glass fruit. I'm not quite sure what the fruit are meant to be, they have a four lobed form...any ideas welcome. There is also a clear crest on the top rim. Another flea market find, from around 10 years ago. Perhaps English.
