Take a peek at this guy!
1950's White ceramic fish with blue trim. Sticker in pic 4. I just washed him and I knew he'd be perfect. When I found him, he was laying upside down and you couldn't really tell what it was...after I grabbed him I knew this fish was one that couldn't get away! I didn't put him down that's for sure ;) Washed it up and it came out like new. There was an old picture frame wire and ring to hand him on but I removed that and will replace it with leather.
If I'm right, don't these go on the table when you are eating fish and the bones or tails get tossed in this? Or is it just decoration? It's hard to see the blue in the photos but there's abpit 1/4" thick blue trim around the whole fish and about 1/2" in there is a thin line of blue. Hand painted blue.
He could pass for Mr Limpet too with those big lips!

BJV, I'm kind of thinking maybe he was a lid to something...but no, there is a small hole by his fin for hanging, so could be simply for décor only! I'm glad he was upside down and dirty...he cleaned up real well. Thanks for the visit!
