all i know about this item it's from the late 50's n it's solid brass with a bell in a lil hammer that goes with it...it also has two dragon's going up both side's in it is two sided...the date on the bell say's its from the 59-60 in it say's korea on the bell...in the knight sheild on it show it's from the army..plz help me find out the detail info on this..
This is most likely an end of tour presentation that was given to a soldier who was in Korea from 1959- 1960. There is also a possibility that the soldier purchased the souvenir himself. The 1st CAV crest appears to be Korean made and of that time period.
The 1st CAV was in Korea from 1957 until 1965.

thats awesome i kinda found something on that when i bought the item from the scrap yard...but i was trying to find out some more detail info on it...like if its a real made item the the milatary passed out n if this is something of value n maybe how much its worth n maybe a lil history on it like maybe who had it n so fourth...
The Army didn't pass these out.
Brass items were popular US Army Korea gifts. Most are made from brass from the US Army-- Korean locals have always been known to police up empty cartridges on ranges and in training areas.
This is a simple mold poured item, with minimal handwork. The dragons have poor details.
Usually units have a fund and give every departing soldier a small gift. This probably sold for less than $1 in 1960.
Today it still has minimal value. Even Korean War era (1950- 53) souvenirs don't bring much money. Since it is not soldier named, I would expect it to sell for about $12- $20 on ebay.
