This is what a basic 'traditional' tortilla warmer looks like Sunnynature. These do have a design for the tourists and it could be from a few different areas in Mexico. Tonala, Mazatlan, Acapulco...not positive which. All three places are well known for their "folk art" style of goods.

It doesn't warm the tortillas, it just keeps them warm after they've been heated or made. Put them all in this, set it on the dinner table and everyone (if you have a small family) has warm tortillas with dinner. Unless of course, you are eating breakfast or lunch. ;) Many families make and eat them 3 times a day! Yum! Love homemade tortillas!!!

This one is about 6" tall x 10" diameter. The design on this one is just simple yarn. It's actually retained it's color well. The white trim that's falling apart I think is plastic or it was a material that has all but fallen off after all these years. This basket is also tightly woven is really, it's still in good condition!

    Let's all eat tortillas!!! ;)
