I believe this to be a crumb catcher with brush to sweep. Does any one have any other info?

My Scottish grandmother had one (different design) in brass and she called it her table butler. It was used to brush the table cloth of toast or cake crumbs. Yours is a beautiful design more sophisticated.
Yes, thank you. I found out it is metawa from Holland...Pewter. Purchased at an Estate Sale for $6.00.
