    not sure what this is or what it was used for hoping someone could help me out .. it looks like a tape that u put in a tree for maple surup but i thouht they where wood t y .

      I would guess that it is just a faucet spout by looking at the machine made screw thread on the end. Still a nice piece though.

      Steve is right, it has NPT (National Pipe Thread) Threads on the stub end of the TAP (no e) so this would be for a barrel or something like that.
