This Victorian glass vase is made from opaque ivory coloured glass, which contains uranium & glows under UV light. It measures 20.5 cm tall, 11.5 cm across the crimped jack in the pulpit type top rim, & 6 cm across the base, which has a polished pontil mark. The vase has an applied clear crest, & an applied acanthus leaf in clear & pink glass which also has a small clear handle that joins to the neck of the vase.

Interesting that the leaf is so neutral and the rigaree is so intense. Almost like the leaf was an afterthought ... yeah, this vase needs more! Let's add a leaf!!

Yes, it's a slightly odd design...I haven't seen another just like it. I actually think it would look better with more colour - perhaps a pink lining to really make the j.i.p top stand out, & a more colourful leaf.
