I was attracted to this Boat shaped (almost Gondola) Amber bowl today in the charity shop. It has four feet (complete with chips!), and a pretty pattern, though I am not sure what it is. I suppose it is a posy bowl and I am not sure of age. My first thought was Victorian, but it could be much later. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

pressglas has one in blue opalescent that they question as Davidson; I'd think Davidson would be marked, but gives another example:

Thank you Tallcakes. My first thought was Davidson, but I couldn't find this pattern. The example you found is identical to mine, but there are no markings on mine (or on his either as he's not sure either).

Thanks to Tallcakes I also found a discussion on a glass message board of various people having this bowl, including an amber one, and the opinion was either Davidson or Greener (another UK North Eastern Glass Works).

I also found another blue opalescent and a Vaseline version from an eBay seller in the UK listing them as either unmarked Davidson or Greener.
