I found this little ring today in the dollar box at the little store where I go. The ring is set with 11 of the green stones and two white ones. The mounting and band are gold colored, but there are no markings anywhere on the ring. I do not know anything about this ring, but it looked like it would be well worth a dollar. Is anyone able to tell what the green stones might be?
The stones seem very well mounted. Nice ring! I think the stone could be peridot. Or possibly jade.
Most junk jewelry glue the stones in place. This one was done with great care and some time. I think it's beautiful!
Those prongs, the settings, the band and decor, are very well made, and those stones look like jade, possibly. I will leave the ID to the experts here, but this does look like more than costume jewelry to me. Beautiful ring, def worth a buck! :)
Lamplover and Katherine-thanks for the comments! I was wondering if there might be something more to it-it looks like a gold band to me-I need to have it tested. But either way, can't go wrong for a buck :)
Thanks for stopping by
That's quite unusual. Yes, please have it tested - ya never know what lurks in the Dollar Box!!
Thank you for the comments-I will eventually get it tested just to make sure :)
