    Hello. I just acquired this piece at auction where it was described as Delft. It's not marked and I've failed to find out anything about it from online sites. I love the face and the colouring of this. Wondered if it's actually French faience? Or, could it be a nice fake? Would appreciate any comments!

      It's a Las Meninas figurine, there are many versions, if you google maybe you can find this one.

      It is so poorly painted I wonder if it is a copy painted by a amateur in a ceramic class . I don't see any Las Meninas figurine painted this poorly ? The shape of figurine seems right but the ones I see have fine quality painting . Just my 2 cents :-) or 1 cent

      I think I just found my answer they were sold painted or blank for you to paint so that explains poor paint job . It was a Blank someone painted as most had blank faces that you bought done already . Interesting story about them here
