This was given to me by a family member who told me it was very old. It looks like it is hand painted as there is an artist name on it and a mark on the bottom that looks like BAC Limoges france. Does anyone know about how old this is and if it was really made in France? It is 101/4" tall and
81/2" wide including the handle and is very heavy.

Google search "Bernardaud Limoges pitcher" to see other examples from this firm. I'd say it dates to the early 20th century and was painted by a talented hobbyist.

Thanks so much for the information on this.
I wondered what the Initials/ mark on the bottom stood for.
I will keep researching now that I know what to look for :)
