I inherited this peice. Its seems to be interesting and somewhat unique. I'm seeking any information regarding its age, design style, and whether it is historical or valuable.

Looks more like a sideboard. I am familiar with the shape but more the heavy renaissance variety made in Italy. This is newer than those possibly made in u.s.a.

Looks like a sideboard and not a dresser.

Additional detailed photos of the construction (drawer joints, back, interior) will be beneficial in dating this piece.

Thank you PhilDMorris and Scottvez. I figured it was not called a dresser, but I didn't have a clue as to the proper name for the peice.

Dining room sideboard. The Germans loved the animals on them. Some tung oil would do wonders on that thing.

In my opinion that is one very nice Victorian sideboard. The hardware doesn't seem to fit with the stature of the piece.

I would almost think it may be an art deco variance from the 20's, the animals certainly would fit more in that period, would love to see another post with more pictures, especially of the unique lions.
