The vast majority of war slogan milk bottles are found using colorful pyro pictures. Very few dairies used embossing only to display their support for the war effort. Pictured here are three examples of embossed war slogan milk bottles. The bottle on the left is a pint size from Hays Dairy Waterman, Illinois stating BUY WAR BONDS in the front slug plate. The center bottle is an embossed squat quart from Milky Way Dairy Decatur Alabama showing the EVERYBODY EVERY PAYDAY 10% BUY WAR BONDS slogan. The bottle on the right is a pint cream top from Spriggs Dairy Bloomington Indiana stating BUY WAR BONDS TODAY. In my collecting of over 30 years, this is the only dairy I've found to use the cream top option with their embossed war slogan. I'm certain there were others but none have surfaced in shows or collections thus far. I have the Spriggs war bonds in a 1/2 pint & pint size, but have never seen the quart size.
Although not as popular with war slogan milk collectors as the colorful pyro versions, these embossed types are difficult to acquire.
