Not in my wheelhouse however I believe it to be a "Butterfly" style knife I don't see any kind of makers mark and doubt there is one or you would have mentioned it, My first impression that it was made by a machinist, tool and die maker or hobbyist maybe. as for the age ??? I think your right on there - Old
This one MIGHT even stump T A

It's a butterfly knife. It was made the 14th of June, but I don't know what year. LOL!! Maybe you are too new to know my humour.

This is a "butterfly" knife and it was very likely made in the Philippians. The handles appear to be cattle horn which is the traditional material used. This design originated in Germany in the late 19th century and because it can be made without sophisticated technology they were widely produced in many third world countries. It is impossible to date unmarked examples but large numbers of these knives came back with WWII soldiers returning from the Pacific theatre. Your knife is small, most are about 5"- 5 1/2" long closed, but many municipalities around the U.S. still class these knives as "switchblades" so I wouldn't carry it around until you check your local ordinances.
