This was a gift to me quite some time ago and I was told it was a Fenton.
I'm having doubts about that and just wonder if you could tell me; Yes, Fenton or Not Fenton. I don't have any books on Fenton and haven't been able to locate another one like this using the name.
I also see lines, like a molded piece, is that what's described as "pressed glass" ? So what era or years would this piece be from? I just have a feeling it's from the 30's or 40's but don't know for sure.
As always, thanks for your help and know that I do appreciate your time ;)
Share and share alike... (Oh that's kinda different, right? I think I like that!
I know nussing about American glass, but will say I love the elegant shape of this. Nice colour and pressing too!
Duncan Miller reissue of their Mardi Gras pattern c1930s; Mardi Gras is EAPG first issued is crystal c1899.
Hey Ms K! Well, nice try anyway...I did want to be sure it was called 'pressed' glass too, so thank you kindly!
And of course, what would we do without TallCakes and his genuine kindness and authority in this area...to the rescue once again! ;) Thank you so much for that. So it is 30's then...I had a feeling it was, why? I do not know...it just has that thing about it. It seems almost like a non-perfect way about it.
Thomas, thank you ...Yes, it seems the cobalt was quite different back then, and really, much richer and prettier. I agree ;)
Thanks to all that stopped by and loved, I appreciate that very much!
