Direct from Japan, this bird sculpture from Multi Glass is a beauty.
A pheasant (I think) with intricate filigrana scattered over the black interior, before application of some gold leaf and a clear case. She is a simple shape, but her face is sweet with it's beady eye and lovely golden crest.
The clock doesn't run (even with a new battery) but no matter, who would look at it anyway when there is a bird like this one holding it.
The last photo shows her with another Multi Glass bird I have yet to post.
Maybe tomorrow.

The detail in the body is beautiful.....and in parts so much like feathers that it's uncanny!

It is a beauty, but now it has function also !
Since clock doesn't work, you could put a photo over clock and make it a really cool picture frame :) I did that with a decorative clock that I had. I took the clock face out and replaced it with a picture of my children and I made a cool picture holder. Just a thought!!
