    Wooden handle, 6 cms long
    Brass tube, 9 cms long
    No known history, it is just an interesting object I picked up and would like to know what it is.

      Gee, I know there was one in the tool boxes back on the farm, but I do not know what it was for. I would say either Leather craft Tool or a tool for putting a plug in a tire ??? Seen one, but do not know what it was for....

      looks like a real simple leather stitching awl.

      Leather punch also called a punch awl. They come in different sizes. Some make holes in belts, larger ones make holes for rivets. The slot opening in the side is where the waste comes out.

      Antiquerose, if there was a tool "back on the farm" that you didn't know how to use, then, you flunked Farm Girl 101.
