So this little guy is well made, carefully painted. But heavy, and there are more to be found, so production pottery. My own thought is maybe not Japanese, possibly American, maybe California Potteries, circa 50s. I see a lot of cute skunks, this one strikes me as more complex, almost metaphorical, in its depiction. A stinker who knows he's a stinker, lol. Thanks for looking.
Pepe le' Pew! How cute....
Oh and we just trapped one that was hiding under our shed and the stink even when they don't spray . I could smell him/her at night and sure enough we caught it in trap and had a animal expert come and get it to release far from our house ! :-) Cost 200 to get rid of her before she had babies under shed not cheap .
Thanks for the love, Efesgirl, Manikin, brunswick, aura, antiquerose, and vetraio50. :)
Thanks, Bonnie, Pepe LePew is a cutie, this skunk is a skunk of a different stripe, lol. :)
Manikin, a friend of mine bought a house and moved into it, then found out a skunk was living under the house. I think they threw used cat litter under the house to get rid of it. :)
Love your title!
I can only quote Pepe:" You know it is possible to be too attractive......"
