This bowl/plate was given to my parents by a distant aunt who recieved it as a gift but thought it was ugly. Though my parents thought it was ugly aswell they politly accepted it and has sat in thier house with keys and bits and bobs in for years.
My dad asked me to sell it along with a load of other junk and I popped it on ebay for a pound, ( I know now), I recieved a fair bit of curious intrest for it and started researching the history of the dish.
I think it's Fenton from the angle of the peacocks neck and the berries on the back, not sure what the colour is classed as, I think it's marigold? After looking for similar pieces I can find matching colour and patern but no bowls that have a square shape with the same ruffles.
Really just looking for some more info about it and whether it's a common bowl, also if someone could confirm my amatuer diagnosis of it being a Fenton. Much appreciated.

Hi there all, your info has been helpfull cheers. One of the points that made me go with the Fenton angle was that it has the bearded berries on the back. The lack of a saw toothed edge put some confusion into the mix. Cheers for your time though Kailey.

This is certainly Fenton's Peacock & Urn pattern - the base colour looks like green. What I do find interesting and rather unusual, is the 3 in 1 edge. It's a characteristic edge shaping made by Fenton; it's not seen too often on this pattern.
