I understand that for the purists among you this piece is not Bohemian, however it is European and contemporary with inter-war Bohemian art glass. Scailmont were certainly directly influenced by Bohemian art glass at the time and although they produced only a few décors in the spatter/confetti style I feel they are worth a mention here and perhaps interesting also for some who may not be aware of them. Also Belgian art glass like this doesn't fit any obvious CW category.
It's not the most desirable of shapes, but it is unusual.
Very large, thick, multi-layered glass and stands 13.5" weighing 2.5kg. Large pieces of Scailmont are not uncommon, indeed they can get bigger than this.
The only problem I have now is where to put it!
Not familiar with the maker but adore the pod shape & a lovely problem to have where to put it !!!!!!!!
and the colouring is just my cup of Darjeeling & what a bargain price for so much beauty Phil
I Always think later about the space to put in, HA, you need a big space for this one.

In this case Scailmont was inspired by Bohemians but many glass producers in Europe were taking by the handful from Scailmont.Among them Polish Niemen and sometimes this is difficult to distinguish between them.

Love it - and they do sit well together as Art Deco glass.
Plus, I think the shape rather suits the décor.
