    Hello....
Is there anyone out there that may know where this little gem may have originated and also about how old it may be??

Funny looks like two lamp tops on top of each other one upright and the other upsidedown.....and then placed on a really pretty cut glass base...

I purchased this lamp at an antique shop south of Buffalo New York about 30 years ago and sadly I just fell in love at first light....and never asked about its history..and the shop is no longer in business..

Would appreciate anything you can provide me with........

    Thank You Very Much
    Mary Jane

Hello Mary Jane. I have the exact set of lamps and would like to know what, if anything, you have found out about them. Mine belonged to my grandmother, she lived in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. I only know she had them when I was a child and am 71 now so they have been around awhile. I know they were made in Canada and the only marks on them are two diamonds with an S in each diamond. Do you have any idea what their value might be or a ballpark figure? I would appreciate any info. you might have on the lamps. Thank you. Brian

      Hi....Brian...
Wow the internet is simply amazing......I was able to pull up the history that another person posted about our lamps....(6 years ago)..he said possible Fenton.....
I have a question are yours blue in color????? Because someone included a picture of theirs and one was green and one was pink........

I will hunt around a bit more....hopefully I can come up with something.... And I will try to get you a picture of the lamps someone sent me 6 years ago..they were the same style but the etched glass was different more of a ripple in the design....

Its is amazing that yours came from your grandmother......How do you know yours were made in Canada ??? Just curious....okay let me do some nosing around..and I will get back to you...

Thanks for the feedback...maybe we can figure out their worth....and history

Hi Mary Jane. I was wondering if you have seen the pictures of the lamps I posted a couple of weeks ago. there were 4 pictures of the lamps like the one you had posted some time ago. the blue ones. did you see the made in Canada stamp on the silver part near the on/off switch.
I am not real sure how correspondence works here but it would be nice to email each other or even talk on the phone. that way I can send the pictures directly to you??

      Hi Brian,
I commented on your lamps I found them...wow wow wow so similiar ....mine does not read made in Canada it reads Leviton ....our designs on the glass are different you have like grapes and I have flowers..my base is fluted, but other than that they are made exactly the same way ..someone has to know some history on them...Im going to research Leviton but I think that is the manufacture of the switch....so I will get back to you

Yours are really nice....I am going to a higher end antique shop in a few weeks so hopefully they can shed some more light on them..
      Thanks for posting them
      Mary Jane
I will get back to you soon

      Mary Jane,
Did you ever find out information on this lamp? I have two light green frosted glass lamps similar to yours that are from the early 1900’s. They were from my husband’s grandmother’s home in Kentucky.

Leviton was the maker of the electrical light socket and is still in business today producing electrical fixtures. These were assembled by jobbers who acquired the glass from various wholesales. These were mostly sold in five and dime stores back kin the day.
