I found these for $1 i thought they were very unique. I found out later that it was a family business. The dishes were made by Porcelain Manufactory Unger & Schilde of Roschutz, Thuringia, Germany. Iris is the pattern name. The pottery was founded by Karl Unger and Bernhard Schilde in 1881. Some of the decoration was done by families, including young children, who worked in their homes. The company was nationalized in 1953. This mark was used beginning about 1906.
They are really good German china, beautiful and so well made.
Just $1? Awesome.
