My niece dug this up while metal detecting. I found 2 great seal buttons in this vicinity. The property was established in the mid-1800s. One or 2 people associated with property served in the Civil War. My grandfather, who bought the priory in 1949 served in WWII. I've been unable to find anyone that may have served in WWI.

The great seal buttons were find about 1000' apart and this badge or pin was found in between. I also found a .44 or .45 caliber round ball close to where this badge or pin was found.

I love digging up stuff like this. I'm hoping my niece has dug up something unique. I have it posted on the treasure.net site I belong to and have had only one guess.

      Thanks again!!!
