I haven't seen any clips with the two chains; one with a double hook and the other with only a loop. I'm wondering exactly in what category of jewelry it fits, its age, and how it is used. The fish measures about 2 inches long and 1 inch wide; each chain is about 1.5 inches long. The fish clips by means of a spring in the tail area. The second photo shows the spring by looking from the back of the clip to its interior. I can't see any signature or other identification. It is silver-tone metal, weighs about 32 g, and says "Pat. Pend." on the inside of one tail fin.
I should have looked a little further down. It appears that this is a clip to hold gloves (?). The chains go around a purse handle and the clip holds the gloves. If you have other or additional information, I would appreciate your comments.
That's what it is. I looked on Google for another image of this particular one, but no luck yet.
