Rocking chair

Hi all

Bought this at a vintage store. I have absolutely no idea of the particulars of this chair (I bought it primarily for aesthetic reasons). In fact, I only stumbled across this site when trying to research the age/era, style, materials of the the chair.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also interested to know whether the original seat portion of the chair would have been cane/webbing/upholstery/other.
