Hi, I purchased a bunch of marbles at a garage sale recently and am curious about the clear lines in the marbles and how they are formed. Is it a particular company are these new , older as I have no Idea... Thanks
I love marbles and it looks like you have some good ones in pile . I just enjoy them so can't ID them but can say looks like a good bunch to me :-)
They look like what I played with as a kid only 10 and 15 years ago. Some look identical, almost. The black one in particular. I had forgotten having a few of those. I had been initially disappointed in it, as it lacked colour.
if you can see a crease line on your marble then its machine made. . could still be rare marbles . nice find
Not an expert but after my father passed I ended up with over 45 totes, yes totes of marbles. I did so much research on them but it was years ago. I can tell you that most of what I see in the pictures are AKRO. Look on eBay and you will learn a lot there as well. Most common marbles found at Estate Sales are American Made. The majority will be AKRO, Jabo Vitro, Peltier and King. One site helped me in learning about marbles, was Alan Marble Collection. Google it and you will get the website. Hope that leads you down the right path. Before you ask or wonder, I still have all my marbles. :)Well most of them, I did sell some for good money. Thanks Dad!
