    I don't have a clue what this is. Its very old and either a small scale wrecking ball or like a chain used to tie around prisoners.

      it was for prisoners leg so he didnt escape

      what does it weigh? how big/small is it? I have no idea of scale.. it could be something small enough to wear...lol

      it weighs around 3 pounds and is very small im not really sure of the size... is there any sort of value?

      It is too small at 3 lbs. to effectively serve as a prisoners "ball and chain".

      Additionally, the chain appears too flimsy. Post some close ups of the chain links and the attachment to the ball.

      My first reaction is that it is something created recently with an old iron ball and more modern chain.

      Yea scott, note the lack of rust on the chain and the attachment point to the ball...............looks fishy................

      Originals are much larger and the chain attachment is usually cast integral to the ball.

      The attachment on this looks like something recently added that would easily break.

      Well its actually around 5 pounds. If that changes anything. If somebody can give me a price of what its worth, that would be great.

      5lbs doesn't change anything-- still way too small to be a ball and chain.

      As a novelty/ modern creation, I'd put a value of $15- $25.
