There is, to the left, a portion of what seems to be a part of the skirt of an onlooker.
The little girl carries a pocketbook a.d has wide suspenders, plus a dress I am not familiar with as to type. It seems layered. Looks like she is about to try a "clog" dance. This back has no maker's stamp.

She's wearing what looks like a national dress of Poland, but eastern European I think. And, she may well be part of a dance group. I don't think it's an American photo.

Thanks Gillian---Well, the purse throws me off a little, for a photo of a dancer-- but I did as well think she might be an import The girl herself is gorgeous. Take a close up of that lovely face. The photo itself in not in great condition--but I really do love it. I see NOW what I thought were "suspenders" is just cloth placement straps to hold her apron on!
She stands on a plaid, cloth covered box, outside I believe, in front of a dark wall ( not a studio backdrop) Not anything familiar like I have seen done in an American photo of the era--and she wears black button-up shoes and long stripped stockings. Will remain a mystery child forever--no name or any I.D. on the back.

One GREAT thing about CW is for me, the ability of taking a CDV like this and having it come to life in my vision, when it can be blown up sooo big. I can see details on my photos and faces I would never be able to see in real life. Of course that goes for all the things I put on here. The enlargement ability, makes me enjoy my life much more!! I am so very appreciative of CW for being here for people with a visual handicap. This site is life enriching in more ways than that. It is a precious addition to many lives in many ways. Thanks CW!!!
