This flag has 48 stars. Made out of cotton. It is on a small wooden flag pole. The pole has a round golden knob at top. And screws together in the center. The flag has some minor tatters to it from being stored with out a case of any sort. If I was to guess I would say it looks like it would have been made to hang in an old class room. It measures 32 x 56. The wooden pole is 73 inches long x apx. 1 inch diameter. My husband I found this in a Demo project we were hired to do. We know it has to be over 52 years old. Because that is when Hawaii and Alaska became states. So excited over our AMERICAN PICK.
