This is my wifes clock and has been in her family since new and is fully working. Her Great grandfarther bought the clock new in the late 1800s it runs perfectly I Wind it up once a day. We dont use the hour chime but it also works great.
I think it is very rare to hear a clock has been in a family for 4 generations.
I would like to find out the original year of manufacture and clock type.

Hi, nice clock, I Believe you're Clock to Be an "ogre" one day (weight driven?) clock with from the mid 1800's circa 1840's 1860's flame mahogany case the clock get its name I believe from the curved wood case this style of clock is not all that rare and or valuable I have one that I bought at a flea market for only $30 and it works but I Believe these clocks are worth around $100. Hope this info solves your mystery.
