I love this plate. I have absolutely no idea where it comes from but it is absolutely beautiful.

I don't know how old it is but i bought it at a fair years ago. I'd really welcome any advice on its origins.

Earlier than Deco I think. Art Nouveau. Might be Dutch, Belgian, French ???

      Put Italian in there too.
    4. vetraio50 vetraio50, 8 years ago
It reminds me of Mario Salvini ... but the mark is not right.

The Italians call this style 'Stile Liberty' .... 'Stile Floreale'.

I do not even know how to describe the mark....LOL. but hunt around here for marks, or different Countries. May help, may not - just throwing it out there.

      It is Italian. Fantechi.

      FANTECHI Ceramiche - (S.I.F.M.A.)

Egisto Fantechi set up the firm in 1896 as a producer of artistic maiolica in Sesto Fiorentino. It was a firm that included Egisto, his father, Ugo Zaccagnini, Francesco Grassi, Augusta Fantini, Luigi Ceccherini, Paolo Banchelli and Giuseppe Conti. They specialised in Renaissance style wares but got into this style of Art Nouveau around 1906.

How much s your Italian ????

      http://www.archivioceramica.com/fabbriche/F/fantechi.htm
