I recently purchased a grouping of images that came out of Jacksonville, Florida.
This is one of the nicest in the grouping. It is an oversized cabinet card and dates from the 1880s.
The image shows several African American Firemen. Two are on a hose wagon or reel and another fireman looks on.
19th century fire related occupationals have a strong collector following. It is unusual to find 19th African American Fire related images and they command a premium in both interest and value.
Reproduction or copying of this image in any form is prohibited.
Thanks for looking official!

Wow, gotta be pretty rare on two fronts, Scott!
Thanks sign-- appreciate you looking.
I see firemen images pretty regularly and they have a strong collector following. I don't see African American firemen that often.
