    (1 item)

As we were clearing my 98 year old mother in laws apartment we of course needed to clear the sewing room. These were in an old box that contained items that my husband knew were his grandmothers the scissors interested me as I have never seem similar ones. On one side is Rockford Cutlery Co with a number 2 in the circle On the other side is an ax with writing down the grip and on the large section of the ax head.
Does anyone have any information regarding these scissors, please
    Thank you

Yes, a Button Hole cutter is what that is.---My gram had one too, and being a person who made the family clothes, I used it many times!!! It has been decades since I have seen one, and it make me happy to look at it. Thanks.

Interesting to know it's a Button Hole cutter. As it has Rockford cutlery co on it is it from there? Is this company still in business? As a coincidence the family was from Rockford Illinois till the end of the 1800 's. Thank you.

Never mind. I have a feeling that the explanation would be more confusing than the pix.
