Franz Welz was a producer of fine art glass that "punched" the limits of furnace decorated pieces. Just a few examples of their work is shown here. These umbrella shapes have protruding glass "knuckle" spikes. If that isn't enough...almost every single piece is accented by an applied thread lip.
There are also at least 4 different tools (maybe more) used to create the different Umbrella shapes.
1. 4-Sides short bowl in a Line with confetti decor
2. 8-Sided bowl in a Line and Dot with confetti decor
3. 8-Sided brown with dual confetti decor (floral design mold can be seen at the base
4. The set of three
