This Victorian glass epergne trumpet is made from two layers of cased glass - opaque ivory over a pink interior. The ivory layer contains uranium & glows under UV light. It measures around 33.5 cm in length & 14 cm across the double crimped top rim. It has an applied pale yellow green chain type rigaree which also contains uranium. As can be seen, it has some issues, the main one being that it needs a base or stand. Cased glass is not often seen in epergnes, which is why this orphan piece was of interest to me. Hopefully I can find a suitable stand for it, most likely in silver plate. It may have been that that the original epergne this was a part of had a matching base in the same cased glass.
Not sure of a maker, but possibly English.
