It's just funky and cool. There is no identifying mark on the bottom. I think it looks 50s or 60s. Any ideas?

I would have despised this kind of stuff up until a few years ago, lol. I've only recently started to appreciate? it.

After looking at Google images, it really DOES resemble some of their stuff. I can't find an image of this one though. Do they mark their stuff? There is no mark on my piece.

Yes, they do mark their pieces. Or I should say did even back then, most of their pieces were marked. I've actually sold quite a lot of W German Pottery and your piece here is nice although I have to say, they were very precise in their designs. This one almost looks like a project piece where they tried to make it look like fat lava. I'm sorry to have to say that to you but this way you will be more knowing. It's like me and glass!! haha...I've thought I had something a few times and nope, not even close. But that's what were are here for, right....

If you like the fat lava, just do a search by typing in "W German Pottery" or put vintage in front of that or even Vintage fat lava ceramics....something like that and you will see exactly what I mean by precise. I hope you do anyway! You'll begin to see the difference. Like all things, it takes practice and unfortunately we all learn by error, but hey, at least we learn ;)

Now I'm thinking I should have told you not to get rid of this. So I'm back to say that. Just hang on to it...you never know!

Thank you so much, shareurpassion. Im not disappointed at all. I love the education I'm getting from all the wonderful people here! That is exactly why I joined Collectors weekly. Every day I become a little more knowledgeable about one topic or another, and I love it!

Thanks, antiquerose. Boy, I sure wish everyone marked their stuff. What a simpler world this would be.
