This Art-Deco ceramic swan was owned by my parents, and is now in my possession. It is about 5 inches long, and has no maker's mark on it. The color is really close to Buffalo China's Blue Lune.

What could this have been used for? My father used it as an ashtray (fortunately no damage came from this!). I think that it could have functioned as a change tray, hair pin or small jewelry holder. Any thoughts on this?

      Perhaps a soap dish?

I concur - soap dish. A very pretty one, too.
