I did not intend to buy another Micro Mosaic Cross. But I could not resist this one. It is so beautiful in color and this green stone in the middle I have not seen so much of this kind of crosses, hence my purchase. Sizes 4 x almost 3 inches. I hope you like it as I do?

Of course you had to have it, it is beautiful!
I can't believe the size of the mosaic; the blue and white check border is tiny.

Thanks for sharing. A nice Roma/Rome souvenir that someone once brought home. Is the green stone glass? I've not seen a stone like that in micro mosaic pieces either. What date do you think this cross is from?

Baylou thanks for your comment and I don't know but I think the stone is glass. I date this piece end 19s or beginning of the 20th century. I like the combination in colors and the green stone indeed but also the raises applied flowers that provide a kind of 2 dimensional effect (see new photo number 3).

I think you might want to check the stone out with a jeweler!! When some artist of yore makes a piece this outstanding I would think the crowning jewel--would be a real stone!
