    EAPG glass cheese dish base from the La Belle Glass Co. in the 1870's. This piece has the Two Dromios featured on it. The underside has the etchings and the title. It measures around eight inches in diameter.

      my understanding is this is from the 'Opera' (AKA: Actress) line by Adams & Co. c880s. The accompanying dome lid has the fisherman motif.

      Tallcakes-thank you! Maybe that's why I couldn't find many listed :).
      I wish I had the dome. I came across this today cleaning out a cabinet. I had no idea it was that old until I started researching a little. It is a hefty piece of glass. Again, thanks so much for your help!!

      it's a very nice piece. The 'Opera' pattern is an interesting one; I'm fortunate to have a cake stand.
