These are my family Bibles. I have had them for years and I think it's time to find ways to better preserve them so that they can be handed down to my sons when the time comes. They are dated 1834 and some of the birth dates entered in the bibles date back to the 1780's. I think they are in pretty good condition for being almost 200 years old. Thanks for looking!!!

Very nice! I have the same set but with the name "John P Connor" embossed on the front. Obviously, not my family. Very nice for display, though. It's nice to see that someone has kept up the family record.

I just looked through the set we have here and I don't see a place to record the family names. Which volume is it in yours?

Thanks clmason456! The ledger is about the middle of volume 2. Hopefully they will stay in my family.

Thank you brunswick for the love and comment. I think they are in great condition for there age. We handle them as little as possible because we don't want anything to happen to them.

Just keep them in a cool, dark cabinet away from sealed environments and away from high humidity, and they'll be fine.

Actually, you may want to remove that yellowed rice-paper by the illustration and replace it. The yellowing is acid damage from the bleaching agents in the paper.

Thanks SpiritBear . I appreciate the information.

So.... don't wrap them in anything. Especially do not put them in plastic!
Pure, unbleached, undyed cotton is the best material to protect from dust.
