Remember the days before Internet and cell Phones? When all we had was land line Phones and 6 channels on TV and to tell Time we wore or carried a watch! When we went on a trip we could get one of these Travel Alarm Clocks to keep track of time and wake us up! Someone threw this one out and I grabbed it, its in very nice shape and works perfectly! It now sits on my desk! Enjoy!
6 Channels on TV was luxury. I was lucky to live in LA where we had 7. I remember when we would travel to see family members and there would be 2 or 3 channels.
Ha ha ha. Should have lived in the uk with only 2 channels and a radio. I have one of these, that was my mums, and is sitting beside me as I txt. luv it.
I don't even use a TV. LOL.
Oh, BTW, the shell of yours is the exact colour and shade of my 50-year-old briefcase. LOL.
Yep! I had one just like it! We never had a tv till I was about 13 and the whole family got to watch Time for Beanie and the Milton Bearle show.

Still have mine that I had in the army (still in the duffle bag with the rest of my gear) back in the early 1980s. Mom had it back in the 1979s when all we had for tv was pgtv and Vancouver channel 12.
Just came on here to see what I just had gotten passed down from family. It's the exact same clock only in a black case. It has a picture of my Mom and Dad and my brother and I sitting on their lap taped in the upper part of the case. I guess I was about 2 in the picture and I turned 63 today. This was one of my gifts. I can honestly say it was my favorite gift. :) :)
EJW-54, I have a couple different colors of one like yours, but this is one of my favorite travel clocks:

Talk about an unexpected flash back... My mom had this exact same clock. For whatever reason, I was fascinated with it as a young child.
Thanks you mcpljoey, glad you still have yours, 2 tv channels, thats funny!
Thankyou dennysgamma, nice that you had one past down and your favorite gift!
Thanks pw-collector, that is one cool clock with the extra storage case!
Thankyou MUTCDVictum, glad it brought back memories!
Glad you love this gargoylecollector, freon, Manikin, Brunswick, AnythingObscure, clockerman and antiquerose, Thanks!
I have three or four of these and still sometimes use them. Very handy. I use them less often, now, since I retired and no longer use an alarm to wake up, but handy when I wanted to take a nap and not futz with my electric clock radio. Retired on 1 February and only used an alarm once since then. I do sometimes use an old fashioned 1 hour kitchen timer when I take naps, now. Like someone else noted, I also used one of these when I was in the Army, but that one is long gone.
Thankyou kwqd for the nice comments!
Nice that you love this fleafinder and truthordare
