Hippie Poncho that MAY have been at Woodstock!
OK, the story the owner related is included. It may have indeed been worn at Woodstock, but what we can verify from his history is that it was worn at a KISS concert in Roanoke in 1979, worn by a hippie lady selling Tees. Which is cool enough in its own right! Likely a homemade poncho (photo #3) and seeing the cut of the collar in the front. We know by it's history it is Unisex. Colorful and period correct. Fun piece regardless of whether it ever saw Yasgur's fields.
Well the hunt will be on to find a possible image seeing a person wearing this....but it is possible. fingers crossed for you !!!
Groovy !!
Thanks antiquerose - I scan Woodstock photos whenever I see them, I have various items I'd love to photo match - but not many festival goers were taking photos!
I guess most were doing the CHEECH & CHONG thing, and then some.......Lol

Anyone there MAY not remember a lot of things, Wonder if the tee shirt lady was "Lazy Jane" she was a cool old hippie who traveled all over selling mostly hand painted shirts and a few tie dye Tees
PoliticalPinbacks - you got my interest there! I wonder if there are some of her shirts out there? Wonder if this is one of hers? Thanks... helps in my quest.
Watched her work for hours she was fun, Must be some out there however they were different form your's she mostly painted a scene on the front and or back, I doubt I still have any of her work but if I find any I will let you know.
