Heilly memorabilia.

This badge/brooch was found in the village of Heilly, close to Albert in France. It was shown to me by a restaurant owner, along with a small collection of other World War One objects found in his village over the past couple of decades. He thought it was a military medal, but it seems more like a brooch to me as the fastening at the back seems not robust enough to wear into battle.
We had a great meal at his restaurant in Heilly and will go back again.
