We were told by a Ukrainian friend that immigrated here a few years ago and speaks limited English that this item is Russian. He said the inscription indicates a gift "given to you for your good service". Someone thought it was late 1800's- early 1900's.
Wondering if anyone has any input as to age and information about this piece.
