I bought this light at an estate sale on Saturday. I'm fairly certain it's circa late 1920s-early 1930s. I can't find a mark anywhere (I've looked at the rim, inside and out; I've checked the pendant holder and canopy and can't find a thing!) There's only 1 bird. The other side has a few flowers, not much. It looks hand painted (how could you do reverse painting on the inside of a globe?!).
The globe has a sort of speckled application to it.
I've seen someone attribute one similar to Moe-Bridges (not that really means much!). I had wondered if it might be a Handel though the pendant holder seems to different. It would be great if it's valuable, but more, I'm just interested in who made it!
If Handel, it would have a "chipped ice" finish. My guess would be Lightolier or Beardsley. Still a great find!
Thanks! I found it in an old 1920s GE light catalog! It was $27.50 new.
