This is my 100th post - and it is in honor of my mother.
I thought I would share this recent contemporary art glass purchase. It will remain with me for only a few days - then it will be going to my mother on the occasion of her 100th birthday.
My mother instilled and encouraged many things in me - including an appreciation of art; a love we both still share.
The shape, colors, depth, the tactile feel of the veins/vines, the inscription and even the weight make it a truly special piece. George's love and sacrifice for what he does is evident in this work of art and that spirit matches well with my mother's love and sacrifice for her children.

to day is my mothers birthday 84 and in a few minutes I will be having a pie with champagne, she also gave me his admiration for art as a proof of respect to differences...
