    I think these are made of soap stone.they are very heavy. They have been carved in the style of tree stumps with a flower of some kind.I have had them for a bought 3years ago.I bought them from a lady at a boot fair when I ask how much see told me that she did not like them so I new that see would sell them for a good price 5pounds the pair not bad
