I found this table and chairs at Antique Alley but cannot figure out what is origin might be. Really would appreciate any direction you could give me.

Kind of clunky, minimal details to the "carving"-- I'd put it in the mid to late 20th century.

I think scottvez was most generous with his date. Feeble attempt at producing a harp chair.

1920's-30's European. Possibly Belgium. When I started in the Antique business in the early 1970's, I worked for a decorator showroom that imported containers full of this style furnture.

Beautiful. That is where I went wrong. I wasn't a decorator. I am learning by the minute. I hope you keep teaching us. I am interested in the joinery mostly if you care to elaborate. Butcher shop or craftsman I always like to hear the story.

I also seen a lot of Belgium furniture reproductions a lot of it later 50's to 70's. Some was nice but there were a lot of dealers in the early 2000's starting a business importing these pieces, so I rather agree with rocker-sd.
