Help Us Solve The Mystery...
Found during a cleanout.
It appears to be hand carved from top to bottom out of wood. Very light in weight. The carvings/designs are consistent from the base to the top and extending outwards to the lamp shade. Shade appears to be fairly old as well and has a olive-greenish velvet trim across the top and bottom of it. Cord attached to it appears to be old and consists of a Euro Plug.
Anyone have any ideas?
1950's to 1960's style. I have seen the 1920's to 1930's deco style but this is after the second world war, possibly as early as 1947-8. They are similar in style to the americans and canada of the period , but those were made of metal.
