This is a vintage Solid Set shaving brush, circa 1920-30’s. Solid Set was a trademark of the James Lowe Erskine Company, New York, N.Y., which also manufactures shaving brushes under its own name, Erskine.

Obtained this from the estate of a well-known, local barber who had this as part of his collection.

I simply love the design, character and color of the amber lucite! I'm also considering re-knotting this brush to put it back into use.

Very cool, I have my grandfather's shaving brush he used his whole life. They're fun to collect.
